Your Worst Stories Can Help When You Show Patients In Danger.

HOW MANY DRUG STORE INDUSTRY MBAs ARE FROM FOR-PROFIT DIPLOMA MILLS?  AND THEY LET THEM DRIVE UNTIL THEY CRASH AND THEN THEY STILL LET THEM DRIVE.

STEVE COMMENTED THAT THE “DECIDERS” ARE NOT PHARMACISTS. THEY HAVE NEVER WORKED IN A PHARMACY.  THEY HAVE NEVER DONE THE JOB OF CASHIER.  THEY HAVE NEVER STOOD AT THE DRIVE-THROUGH WHILE A CUSTOMER WHO BELIEVES IT IS THE DRIVE-UP-AND-PARK DIGS IN HER PURSE FOR THE $5.00 CO-PAY.  HOW CAN THEY` POSSIBLY MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS?

THESE NON-PHARMACISTS ARE THE BEAN-COUNTING MBA MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE WHO HAVE COME VERY CLOSE TO RUINING OUR INDUSTRY.  WE HAVE A DUTY TO SHOW HOW THEIR DECISIONS HAVE PUT PATIENTS IN DANGER.  THIS WILL GET ATTENTION.

KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING.  THERE MUST BE A STRATEGY AND YOU GET A VOTE.

Post your worst Working Conditions, Manager Bullying, Harassment (SEXUAL & OTHER), Law-Breaking, Law-Ignoring, Patient-Neglecting (Most notably by not counseling), Conditions that lead to dispensing errors, Company written or unwritten policies that can put patients in danger.

AND THAT, MY FRIENDS IS WHAT WE WANT… AND THAT IS ALL WE WANT BECAUSE YOUR HUSBAND AND CHILDREN ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CARE IF YOU ARE MISTREATED.

THE INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER AT YOUR LOCAL PAPER IS NOT GOING TO WRITE A STORY ABOUT HOW YOU WERE SO WEAK FROM LACK OF FOOD AT 8:00 PM THAT YOU HONESTLY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TRUSTED WITH MANAGING ANYONE’S DRUGS.  YOUR COMPANY NOT ONLY TRUSTED YOU, THEY ROLLED THE DICE AND EXPECTED YOU TO CLEAR THE DECK BEFORE 10:00 PM.  THEY WERE SO CONFIDENT OF YOUR COMPETENCE, THEY SENT THE ONLY TECH HOME AT 7:00 PM AND THE ONLY CASHIER HOME AT 7:30 PM.

YOU SHOW THEM HOW PATIENTS ARE DAMAGED BY THE PROFITEERING OF YOUR EMPLOYERS AND THE CHANCES ARE PRETTY GOOD THAT YOUR STORY WILL BE PUBLICIZED & YOUR STATE BOARD WILL INVESTIGATED.

I GOTTA GO. VERY TIRED.  BACK SOON, RIGHT HERE.

There has been THREE investigative reports on med errors in the last TWO WEEKS.. NC, TX, FL.. and there is one coming on the east coast.. in a major media market very soon. Those are the ones that I am aware of !

If nothing else.. take these reports and send them to the investigative reporter in your market.

I just sent them to my state Senator/Pharmacist.. I was in his office this week.. his comment.. “this is not good for pharmacy ”

Of course, most of the people in the E-suite that are determining your working conditions.. are not Pharmacists.. as long as lack of patient safety doesn’t impact the bottom line too much.. it is just a cost of doing business..

Here is an epiphany… take the links on my website of the other investigator reporters’ reports and send them to the investigative reporter in your market.. Asking why they are doing such a report in your market.. it is happening universally !

Send them on a unsigned piece of paper.. and snail mail it to the station.

Here is why things won’t change any time soon, http://drugstorenews.com/article/cvs-caremark-posts-q4-results.
In case the link doesn’t work, the article talks about the RECORD profits for the company. CVS WILL destroy the profession and their pharmacists in the process. The elimination of tobacco products is nothing more than an attention grab. Do you really think they care about their “patients”? I’m sure they’ve talked extensively about how to do this while still retaining profitability and one guess as to how they’re going to that. On the backs of their already overworked pharmacy staff perhaps? Enjoy your nervous breakdowns.
